Virtual Studio Terms

1. Camp Denman Virtual Studio and your account

Camp Denman Society (“Camp Denman”, “we”, or “us”) operates Camp Denman Virtual Studio, an online membership for learning, creating, storing, and sharing creative work. These terms govern Virtual Studio accounts and paid Virtual Studio services. Camp reservations have separate Booking Terms shown on campdenman.com.

You must use accurate account information and are responsible for activity under your account. Virtual Studio accounts are for members age 13 and older. Members under 18 receive age-appropriate restrictions; accounts without a recorded birth date receive the same messaging restrictions as a minor.

2. Paid plans, trials, renewal, and cancellation

Before checkout, each offer shows its currency, tax-exclusive price, billing cadence, included credits and storage, trial length, and whether it ends automatically or renews. Canadian residents certify residency and use domestic CAD pricing with a Canadian billing address. International members use USD pricing with a non-Canadian billing address. Stripe stores and processes your payment method; Camp Denman does not store your full card number.

When a listed trial requires a card, no subscription charge is due during the trial. Unless the offer says it ends automatically, Stripe charges the listed amount when the trial ends and on each renewal until you cancel. Cancel from Account Studio before the next charge. Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not retroactively undo a completed billing period.

Taxes are added to the published tax-exclusive price and calculated from your billing address where required. A failed payment may limit paid access and credit use until Stripe confirms recovery. Update or confirm the existing membership from Account Studio rather than starting a second plan.

3. Creative credits and refunds

Creative credits meter eligible generation and processing tools. They are not money, cannot be redeemed or transferred for cash, and expire on the date shown with the grant. Plan credits included with a subscription are granted for one billing period and expire when that period ends; trial-week credits expire with the trial; purchased top-up credit packs stay usable for 12 months from purchase. Each grant's exact expiry date is shown in Account Studio. Unused or expired credits are not refundable.

A tool shows its estimated credit cost before a run. Credits are held when a job begins and settle only after the resulting asset is safely captured in Vault. A failed or canceled provider job releases the unused hold; a successful job cannot be reversed merely because you dislike a creative result.

Virtual Studio subscription payments and credit-pack purchases are non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise or Camp Denman agrees in writing. Camp reservation refunds follow the separate Booking Terms.

Every camp registration is reviewed before acceptance. If Camp Denman rejects an application, or later cancels an accepted registration because a guest is not a fit for our community, we refund everything paid, including the application fee.

4. Your work and Vault

You keep ownership of content you upload and, subject to provider terms and applicable law, outputs you create. You give Camp Denman the limited permission needed to store, inspect for security, back up, process, generate previews, and deliver that content through features you choose.

Vault content is private by default. Publishing to Showcase, sharing, or adding work to a public profile requires a separate action. You are responsible for having rights to uploaded material and documented consent for another person’s likeness or voice. Camp Denman does not use private Vault content to train models.

If a paid plan ends or is canceled, your Vault content is not deleted. For 90 days after the paid period ends you keep full access at your previous plan's storage allowance. After that grace period the Vault becomes download-only — every file stays private, safe, and downloadable, but new uploads and edits wait until you resume a paid plan. Files you move to trash are recoverable for 30 days and then removed.

5. AI and third-party processing

Creative tools may route prompts and reference inputs through Paradise Modern and the named model provider displayed by the tool. Provider, model, estimated credits, and job state are shown in the product receipt.

Do not create unlawful content, deceptive impersonation, infringement, or content that exploits or sexualizes minors. Minors’ likenesses and voices may not be used in biometric or generative tools. Adult-content modes require verified adult access, remain private, and cannot be shared, showcased, or used for model training.

6. Community, messages, and safety

Community and messaging features are moderated for member safety. Under-18 members can message Camp Denman staff and faculty only. Report abuse through the product or contact Camp Denman.

We may remove unlawful, infringing, or unsafe content and may immediately restrict an account when required for safety or law. Unless doing so would create a safety or legal risk, we tell you the reason. You may appeal in writing to accounts@campdenman.com; we aim to answer an appeal within 14 days.

7. Acceptable use

Do not break the law; violate privacy, publicity, consent, or intellectual-property rights; harass others; probe or overload the service; bypass access or metering controls; scrape member content; or resell access or credits.

8. Changes, liability, and disputes

We improve the service over time and may change or retire features. We will not materially reduce a paid plan during its paid period without a proportionate remedy. Material policy changes are presented before a new paid checkout or renewal where required.

The service is provided as-is to the fullest extent permitted by law. Camp Denman’s aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for Studio in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

British Columbia law governs these terms. Before filing a dispute, send a written description to the other party and allow 30 days for a good-faith informal resolution. Unresolved disputes are heard in British Columbia courts unless applicable law requires another forum.
