Consent, recorded first
Before any recording begins, the camper — or a verified guardian, for younger members — records informed consent covering their likeness, their voice, and calls from fellow members. No consent, no twin. Ever.
Camp Denman Virtual Studio
At Camp Denman, a digital twin is a recorded likeness of a real person — your face, your voice, your way of telling a story — that people you choose can call and talk with. Nothing is built without your recorded consent, and you can pause or withdraw your twin at any time.
In plain words
A digital twin starts with real recordings: photographs, a clean voice recording, and the stories you want it to carry. From those, we build a version of you that can hold a conversation in your voice. It is AI, used carefully — every call is clearly disclosed as a twin, never passed off as the person themselves, and it only knows what you chose to give it.
This is the most personal thing anyone can make at Camp Denman. We treat it that way: slowly, with people reviewing every step, and with the camper holding the off switch.
The Camp Denman way
Before any recording begins, the camper — or a verified guardian, for younger members — records informed consent covering their likeness, their voice, and calls from fellow members. No consent, no twin. Ever.
You can record on your own, or book time in the camp recording studio and work with staff — a treated room, good microphones, and a person beside you while you tell your stories.
Camp staff review every portrait and voice recording for identity, quality, and safety before anything moves forward. Your source material stays private in your own Vault.
A twin only takes calls after staff review, identity verification, and your final approval. Withdraw your consent at any moment and your twin pauses immediately.
Who this is for
An elder recording family history so grandchildren can keep asking questions for years to come. A teacher whose way of explaining shouldn’t end with a single season. An artist who wants their voice present at a gathering they can’t attend. Digital twins are for members who want their stories and voices to reach further — on their own terms, and never anyone else’s.
How to start
Digital twins are made with Camp Denman Virtual Studio members, in Virtual Studio's own recording and review flow. Join as a member to begin, or talk with us first — we're happy to walk through how consent, review, and approval work before you decide.
