This is a camp. Everyone sleeps in a canvas tent set among the trees, a short walk from the studios and the shared tables. The tents go up by hand, and every January they all come down for maintenance and clean-up. It’s charming, comfortable, and refreshingly unfussy — the point is to spend your days making and your evenings around the fire, not in your tent.

Sleeps 2 · one king bed
A private canvas tent for two, with a plush king bed and a quiet reading nook.
Sleeps up to 4 · two queen beds
Two queen beds in one shared canvas tent — a maximum of 4 to a tent, with plenty of room to spread out.
Sleeps 4 · one twin bed each
Four guests, four twin beds, one shared canvas tent — each with a bed of your own and room to spread out.
Sleeps 8 · one twin mattress each
Eight guests, four bunk beds with twin mattresses, one shared canvas tent — our most affordable option, close to the heart of camp.
Where you’ll wash up
Shared, but Private
Camp Denman has seven shared bathroom and shower stalls, plus one dedicated, fully accessible stall — each with its own locking door, hot water, and everything you need to get ready for the day.
The accessible stall includes a step-free entrance ramp, roll-in shower, and grab bars throughout.
Meals
Every stay includes three meals a day, served family style in our top-of-the-line commercial kitchen by our in-house chef and staff. Vegan and gluten-free options are always available.
A light continental spread — smoothie bowls, an assortment of toasts, coffee and tea, and protein options like hard-boiled eggs and peanut butter.
A healthy lunch with gluten-free options — rice bowls, salads, and wraps.
Dinner varies by the night — pasta, burgers, and barbecue are all in rotation, always with vegan and gluten-free options.
We work with schools, teachers, and creative organizations to shape a week that fits the size and goals of your program.
