Before you begin
Bring an original idea and only files you own or have permission to use. You can plan the assignment without running a paid job. Existing age, consent and account restrictions still apply.
Practice uses the tools currently available to your account. Read the live estimate before each paid action; credits, subscriptions, provider access and faculty feedback are not included merely by reading this class.
The class
Define the task
Use your own product photo with a visible edge and fine detail. Decide the final background and display size before selecting Remove background or an upscale tool.
Work in the tool
For a cutout, choose the source and inspect hair, transparent objects and shadows after processing. Put the result over both a light and dark background; a clean white preview can hide a bad matte.
Compare and revise
For enlargement, choose the smallest output that meets the real use. Read the selected model's size-based estimate. Face enhancement can change a face; leave it off unless appropriate and review it closely.
Finish and keep it
Compare at the same displayed size, then at full resolution. Keep the original, cutout and enlargement separately. Download and reopen the output; record whether its transparency and dimensions suit the destination. If an entitled guided assignment opens this tool, read its current brief and rubric, explicitly select compatible prior personal course work, and check the real output before returning to Learn. Reuse opens the current editable file while a submitted snapshot keeps its version. Missing or revoked assignment access blocks a run; pending or failed work is not a submission. Review the actual ready Vault file selection and submit explicitly. The current class is still preparing; a practice link alone does not enroll you or prove a provider is available.
Your practical assignment
Deliver a cutout preview on two backgrounds and an enlargement with a note on artifacts.
Review your work
Are edges convincing, required dimensions met, and synthetic detail described honestly?
- Purpose: the work answers the brief and the specific review question.
- Craft: you identify defects, compare a deliberate revision and verify the final file.
- Process: sources, permissions, settings and decisions are documented honestly.
