Before you begin
Bring an original idea and only files you own or have permission to use. You can plan the assignment without running a paid job. Existing age, consent and account restrictions still apply.
Practice uses the tools currently available to your account. Read the live estimate before each paid action; credits, subscriptions, provider access and faculty feedback are not included merely by reading this class.
The class
Define the task
Write a single shot with a clear beginning and end: a fictional paper boat drifts past a dock. Specify subject, setting, motion and camera. Avoid asking a short clip to tell an entire film.
Work in the tool
Choose an available prompt-to-video tool. Check duration, aspect ratio, sound support and the current estimate for that model. A sound-enabled option does not promise exact dialogue or music.
Compare and revise
Submit one shot and review beginning, middle and end. Watch for warped objects, cuts, inconsistent direction and unwanted audio. Keep the receipt and source brief before revising one motion instruction.
Finish and keep it
Save the clip in My Work and reopen a downloaded copy. Record actual duration and whether sound is present. Keep publication separate from generation and confirm rights before sharing. If an entitled guided assignment opens this tool, read its current brief and rubric, explicitly select compatible prior personal course work, and check the real output before returning to Learn. Reuse opens the current editable file while a submitted snapshot keeps its version. Missing or revoked assignment access blocks a run; pending or failed work is not a submission. Review the actual ready Vault file selection and submit explicitly. The current class is still preparing; a practice link alone does not enroll you or prove a provider is available.
Your practical assignment
Deliver one clip, the shot brief and a timecoded review of at least two moments.
Review your work
Does the action remain understandable and visually consistent throughout the shot?
- Purpose: the work answers the brief and the specific review question.
- Craft: you identify defects, compare a deliberate revision and verify the final file.
- Process: sources, permissions, settings and decisions are documented honestly.
Screenshots and video
This edition contains the written curriculum. Tool walkthrough screenshots and video are being prepared; no generated result or recorded demonstration is claimed here.
