Before you begin
Bring an original idea and only files you own or have permission to use. You can plan the assignment without running a paid job. Existing age, consent and account restrictions still apply.
Practice uses the tools currently available to your account. Read the live estimate before each paid action; credits, subscriptions, provider access and faculty feedback are not included merely by reading this class.
The class
Define the task
Write a fictional three-shot story with one place and a clear change. Build a shot plan and source-rights list. Start a guided film project so the brief and later export remain connected.
Work in the tool
Make only the stills or boards the story needs, then animate suitable shots or use permitted footage. Record which tool and source produced each shot. Check each estimate separately; the workflow is not a bundled free render.
Compare and revise
Place the shots in the editor, add permitted narration or effects and leave room for sound. Review continuity and watch the sequence as a whole before improving individual frames.
Finish and keep it
Export and reopen the movie. Check picture, sound, duration and source credits, then prepare a private profile draft. Publish only through the normal explicit publication flow when you are ready.
Your practical assignment
Deliver a brief, shot/source map, final movie and a concise review of a deliberate revision.
Review your work
Does every image, sound and cut serve the same clear story, with a verified final file?
- Purpose: the work answers the brief and the specific review question.
- Craft: you identify defects, compare a deliberate revision and verify the final file.
- Process: sources, permissions, settings and decisions are documented honestly.
Screenshots and video
